Reinke Awards community scholarships to seven area students

(DESHLER, Neb. – May 7, 2019) – Reinke Manufacturing has awarded the Reinke Community Scholarship to seven area high school seniors as part of its Reinke Scholarship Program. This marks the 15th year of the Reinke Scholarship Program, which includes both the Community Scholarship and the Employee/Student Scholarship.

The recipients of the Reinke Community Scholarship will receive a $500 scholarship. This year’s scholarship recipients are:

• ​Brody Carlgren is the son of Troy and Allison Carlgren. He will graduate from Pike Valley High School and plans to attend Southeast Community College in Beatrice. He is undecided on a major.

• Hutch Finke is the son of Scott of Marla Finke. He will graduate from Deshler Public Schools with plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.

• Toriann Likens is the daughter of Tony and Lana Likens. She will graduate from Fairbury High School and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.

• Glenn Meyer is the son of Verryl and Jodi Meyer. He will graduate from the Bruning-Davenport School District and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.

• Megan Miller is the daughter of Arnold and Dayna Miller. She will graduate from Superior High School and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.

• Zachary Parde is the son of Josh and Nicol Parde. He will graduate from Republican County High School and plans to attend Fort Hays State University to study business administration.

• Boone Svoboda is the son of Arnold and Teresa Svoboda. He will graduate from Lawrence/Nelson Public Schools and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.​

The Reinke Manufacturing Community Scholarship Program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a program of Scholarship America, the nation’s largest nonprofit private sector scholarship and educational support organization. The organization chose the recipients of the scholarships based on the standard Scholarship America criteria, including academic performance, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, work experience, extenuating personal or family circumstances, an outside appraisal and a statement of career and educational goals and aspirations.
