Reinke Manufacturing Awards Community Scholarships to Area Students

(DESHLER, Neb. – May 11, 2020) – Reinke Manufacturing, a global leader in irrigation systems and technology, has awarded Reinke Community Scholarships to seven area high school students to help them further their educations. 

Over the past 16 years, the Reinke Scholarship Program has given out 147 scholarships through its Community and Employee/Student Scholarships.

The following recipients will receive Reinke Community Scholarships worth $500: 

• Regan Alfs is the daughter of Bryan and Kari Jo Alfs. She will graduate from Shickley High School and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture. 
• Chancellor Amundson is the son of Nancy and Chris Amundson. He will graduate from Fairbury High School with plans to attend Southeast Community College in Milford. He will study electromechanical technology. 
• Jessica Jensen is the daughter of Kirk and Stephanie Jensen. She will graduate from Pike Valley High School and plans to study agriculture at Kansas State University. 
• Bailey Kiburz is the daughter of Tom and Sara Kiburz. She will graduate from Thayer Central High School and will major in mechanical engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
• Trevin Kotinek is the son of Kris and Peggy Kotinek. He will graduate from Lawrence-Nelson High School. He plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha to study computer science engineering.

• Trevor Martin is the son of Brent and Melissa Martin. He will graduate from Republic County High School and plans to study business administration at Creighton University. 
• Kalynn Meyer is the daughter of Andy and Peggy Meyer. She will graduate from Superior Public Schools and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agricultural engineering.

The Reinke Manufacturing Community Scholarship Program is administered by Scholarship America, Inc., a non-profit organization that helps students fulfill their college dreams. Since the non-profit was founded in 1958, Scholarship America has distributed $4.3 billion to more than 2.6 million students, making it the nation’s largest private scholarship provider. The organization chose the scholarship recipients based on criteria including academic performance, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, work experience, extenuating personal or family circumstances, an outside appraisal and a statement of career and educational goals and aspirations.
