Reinke Manufacturing Awards Scholarships to Area Students
(DESHLER, Neb.) – Reinke Manufacturing, a global leader in irrigation systems and technology, has awarded Reinke Community and Employee/Student Scholarships to nine area high school students to help them further their education.
The Reinke Scholarship Program has given out 167 scholarships over the past 18 years through its Community and Employee/Student Scholarships.
The following recipients will receive Reinke Community Scholarships worth $500:
The following recipient will receive a $1,000 Reinke Employee/Student Scholarship:
The Reinke Manufacturing Community Scholarship Program is administered by the International Scholarship and Tuition Services (ISTS). Founded in 1985, ISTS provides comprehensive management of educational assistance programs, including scholarships, providing more than $400 million in funding to more than six million students applying for financial aid. The organization chose the scholarship recipients based on criteria including academic performance, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, work experience, extenuating personal or family circumstances, an outside appraisal and a statement of career and educational goals and aspirations.

- Lacey Schmidt graduated from Deshler Public Schools and plans to attend Colby Community College to study animal sciences.
- Kylie Beard graduated from Lawrence-Nelson Public Schools and plans to study animal sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
- Emma Henderson graduated from Superior Public Schools and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture communication.
- Madelynn Wells graduated from Thayer Central Community Schools and plans to study agribusiness at Cloud County Community College.
- Wyatt Brockman graduated from Lawrence-Nelson Public Schools and plans to attend Southeast Community College to study agronomy and farming.
- Mira Eschliman graduated from Deshler Public Schools and plans to study bioengineering at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.
- Brett Miller graduated from Superior Public Schools and plans to attend Southeast Community College to become a manufacturing production technician.
- Corbin Karmazin graduated from Lawrence-Nelson Public Schools and plans to study precision machining technology at Southeast Community College.
The following recipient will receive a $1,000 Reinke Employee/Student Scholarship:
- Luka Benjamin graduated from Superior Public Schools and is currently studying medicine at Johns Hopkins University. His father, Shawn Benjamin, is a senior automation technician at Reinke.
