Reinke Manufacturing Invests in Youth Development
(DESHLER, Nebr. – August 30, 2022) – Reinke Manufacturing is known for having conscientious employees who help make Reinke the global leader it is today. Reinke received a grant from the Nebraska Developing Youth Talent Intiative (NDYTI), which is used for the AutoCAD program. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) is used for designing and drafting. The NDYTI program connects young Nebraskans with learning opportunities to explore manufacturing, information technology, math or science-related careers. Reinke has supported youth education activities for years, well before the grant.
Reinke employees are located around the state of Nebraska and Kansas. The employees stay involved with activities throughout the year in their respective communities. Reinke is sharing some of their talented staff as teachers at the Deshler Junior High and High School in Deshler, Nebraska.
Chuck Hatzenbuehler has been with Reinke since 1983 and is a Welding Technician. He is in his 12th year teaching welding to High School students. The classes keep him busy five days a week, in addition to teaching an Adult class for Southeast Community College at night. He also does the in-house weld training at Reinke Manufacturing. Chuck is an AWS certified welding inspector and AWS certified welding educator. His biggest challenge is helping students stay on schedule with all their other activities. Chuck enjoys the students successfully putting to practice what is taught. He likes welding, reading, carpentry and wood working as his pastimes.
Dave Staroscik is currently the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Reinke. He teaches CNC & Machine Shop Principals to students in the 10th through 12th grades. Dave started with Reinke in 2005. He has several degrees and certificates, and a Career Education Permit from the state of Nebraska. Dave stated, “Developing the curriculums and then executing the plan is the most challenging, while adjusting it to fit available resources.” He enjoys interacting with the students and watching them grow as students and young adults. Dave and his wife have three grown children. He enjoys wood working, antique collecting of gas and oil memorabilia, and antique engine restoration.
Sabreana Wit has degrees in Manufacturing Engineering and CAD Technology. She has been with Reinke for 22 years and is a Sales & Marketing Support Specialist. Now in her 4th year teaching AutoCAD/CNC to the 8th grade, the most challenging part for her is preparing for class each day because the class is constantly evolving and never the same. She tries to create the best learning and engaging outcome. She enjoys revealing new information to the students, which many have never had the opportunity to have before. Her hobbies include Texas hold ‘em, hunting, fishing, and pickleball/racquetball.
Jake Beam is one of the newest Reinke teachers, starting with the 2022-23 school year. Jake is teaching Irrigation Basics to the 7th & 8th grades. As the Technical Sales Manager, he draws on his 19 years of experience working with Reinke dealers on Reinke products, and how they can be applied to irrigation practices. Jake is a Certified Irrigation Designer with the Irrigation Association. “Creating the curriculum is the most challenging,” said Beam. “It has to be relatable and educational for the students.” Jake is excited to show the students many ways to get involved in the irrigation industry. Jake, his wife, and four children love spending time outdoors, and their hobbies include: hunting, fishing, and camping. He also volunteers with the local Recreation Board, helping coach many sports teams. Jake stated, “Investing in the youth of our local community can only make it better because they are the future!”
AJ Gausman is teaching Introduction to Electricity to the 7th and 8th graders in his first year. AJ is a licensed Journeyman Electrician in the state of Nebraska. He has been training Reinke dealers about electricity and how a pivot works for over 13 years. Although AJ has years of expertise, his biggest challenge will be making the content age appropriate. He is looking forward to the interaction with the students. AJ enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing. He is the President of the Thayer County Fair Board, in addition to coaching multiple youth sports teams.
Chris Roth, Reinke’s President, stated, “Reinke has supported youth educational activities for years, and is excited to enhance the education of students in our area.” Reinke is proud to support the dedicated employees sharing their talents and time with the school students.
